Competition experience

  • 2015 French National Champion (Junior).
  • 8 Junior Grand Prix (1st place at JGP France 2017, 2nd place at JGP Latvia 2016, and 3rd place at JGP Japan 2017).
  • 4 Junior World Championships (Top 10 once and 3 times top 8).
  • 2018 Bronze medalist at French National Championship in first senior season.
  • 2 Senior Grand Prix (France and China) and European Championship in 2018 season.

Training Experience

Angélique Abachkina started skating in Nice (France) at the age of 6 and did Mishin’s camp at the age of 8 before moving in St-Petersburg for one year at age 9 to train in Mishin’s team with coach Svetlana Veritennikova.

At age 11 she started ice dancing, so she moved to Lyon (France) and she was trained by Romain Haguenauer, Olivier Schœnfelder and Muriel Boucher-Zazouï.

After the first international junior season she moved to Detroit (USA) at the age of 14 to train for 4 and a half years at Igor Shpilband’s Olympic center with coach Fabian Bourzat, Catherine Papadakis, Greg Zuerlein and many others by his side.

In 2018 Angélique trained with champion Pavel Drozd in Moscow by Zhulin’s side.

Coaching experience

Angélique started coaching in Paris Bercy ice rink groups of all age (from 4 years old to adults). Since February 2020 she coached in Zurich in the Linda Van Troyen club, she also did The Peak Ice Camp in Courchevel by the side of Benoit Richaud and the Ice2Impulse camp in Andorra by the side of Romain Gazave during that year. In 2022 she spent 10 weeks at the Peak Ice camp as a coach and Benoit. Richaud’s skating skills/choreography assistant.

Since September 2022 she is located in Fribourg with Coach Romain Ponsart where they work at the CPFR Club in Fribourg. In summer 2023 she and two of their students got the opportunity to learn at the Team RAF (Rafael Aratunyan’s) school in California for 5 weeks since he was Romain’s former coach.
